Frankfurt Galaxy, Vienna Vikings, and Rhein Fire are the previous winners of the European League of Football (ELF), with the fourth season set to begin on Saturday, May 25th. This season, 17 teams from nine countries will compete for the title. The highlight of the season opener is a German classic, as the Cologne Centurions host the defending champions Rhein Fire at the Aachener Tivoli. Following this match, the Munich Ravens will play against the Stuttgart Surge at the PreZero Arena of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Both games will be broadcast live on ProSieben MAXX, Joyn, and ran.de, starting at 12:45 p.m. In addition, ProSieben will join the live broadcast of „ran Football: ELF“ at 5:40 p.m. The season kicks off on Saturday with the match between the Milano Seamen and the Raiders Tirol, which will be livestreamed on Joyn and ran.de.
The ELF Bowl, the grand finale of the season, will take place on September 22, 2024, at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen, home of FC Schalke 04. This over 60,000-seat stadium will witness the showdown between the two teams that have made it to the top.
The ELF season opener is part of a Super-Sport weekend on ProSieben, with over 18 hours of live sports on Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday, May 26th. This includes live broadcasts of the ice hockey World Championship finals from Prague, the DTM race from Lausitz, and the first matchday of the ELF.
