Complete closure of state road 514: renovation work started!

In the coming weeks, state road 514 between Erfeld and Eubigheim will be the focus of extensive renovation work. As the Nokzeit website reports, the work is necessary by the responsible authorities due to significant road damage caused by aging and high traffic loads. Cracks, breaks and settlements on the roadway make comprehensive renovation essential.

The rehabilitation work will be carried out from June 23 to July 25, 2025 and will require a complete closure of the road. The work will be organized in two construction phases. The first construction phase begins at the outskirts of Erfeld, at the building railings, and ends at the “Bergstrasse” entrance in Courtstetten. In the second construction phase, the renovation will continue from the outskirts of Courtstetten, near the “Linsler” carpentry shop, to across the state border into the Main-Tauber district.

Detours during renovation work

Due to the narrow width of the road, the necessary work can only be carried out under full closure. Diversions are unavoidable during the renovation period. In the first construction phase, which lasts until July 8, 2025, traffic will be routed from Hardheim via Höpfingen and Walldürn to Courtstetten and vice versa. In the second construction phase, which will take place from July 8th to 25th, 2025, the diversion will lead from Bretzingen via Courtstetten, Altheim, Sindolsheim, Rosenberg and Berolzheim to Eubigheim.

The diversions will be signposted accordingly so that road users can react to the changes in a well-informed manner. Residents and road users in the affected area are urgently asked to pay increased attention to traffic signs and to consider alternative routes during the renovation period.
