10,000 euros for the Wallenstein Festival: culture takes center stage!
The Wallenstein Festival Association can look forward to a generous donation of 10,000 euros from the Sparkasse Nuremberg Future and Cultural Foundation. This support is crucial for financing the festival this year and illustrates the Sparkasse's commitment to cultural events in the region. Dr. Jonathan Daniel, the foundation's deputy chairman, emphasizes the importance of these festivals as a cultural spectacle. The club's chairman Jan Andree expresses his thanks for the support and emphasizes how important large donations are for the implementation of the festival.
Mayor Martin Tabor supported this positive trend by praising the supporters and awarding a symbolic Wallenstein Medal. This award shows the value of community and collaboration in promoting cultural projects.
Festival supporting program
A central event of the Wallenstein Festival will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the Laurentiuskirche Altdorf. The literary peace concert has the motto “Courage for Peace” and is dedicated to the important topic of remembering the effects of war over the centuries. Current conflicts, such as those in Ukraine and the conflicts in Israel and Gaza, are discussed here. The subtitle “No peace without reconciliation” makes it clear that the concert also wants to offer a thoughtful space.
As part of the concert, texts and musical contributions from different styles and times will be presented. The participants include the Evangelical Kantorei, district cantor Wolfram Wittekind and other talented artists. The organizers are the Wallenstein Festival Association, the Evangelical Education Center Neumarkt-Altdorf-Hersbruck (EBW NAH) and the Evangelical Lutheran Parish of Altdorf. Admission is free, but donations are welcome to support other cultural projects.
With such broad support and a diverse program, the Wallenstein Festival is set for an exciting and moving season that will be the talk of the region. For detailed information about the festival, those interested can visit the Wallenstein-Festspiele website or read further news on N-Land.
