VfL Waiblingen triathletes shine with silver in the sprint race!

The VfL Waiblingen Lopos team achieved an impressive second place in the sprint race in Heilbronn, which took place on June 3, 2025. The talented members of the team, Johanna Seiler, Tabea Huber, Vanessa Grau and Natalie Hartmann, met the high expectations placed on the VfL Waiblingen triathlon department with their performance. This was the third competition in the BWTV triathlon league, and VfL Waiblingen only had to admit defeat to TSV Mannheim.

In this year's triathlon league, a total of 101 teams are competing in six leagues at ten different events, which underlines the wide range of competitions and high competitiveness. Baden-Württemberg Triathlon Association also informs about the planned introduction of a mixed league, which is intended to support smaller clubs and encourage women and men to start together.

Details about the competitions

For the 2025 season, the competition details in the BWTV triathlon league have been clearly defined. The first start times are set for the women's league at 9:30 a.m. to 9:40 a.m., followed by the men's first league at 9:40 a.m. and the official start of the women's league at 10:00 a.m. The courses include 750 meters of swimming in the Neckar and include a mass start, followed by 18.8 kilometers of cycling and 5.37 kilometers of running on flat, asphalt terrain. The competition ends with the award ceremony on the wooden stage on the market square.

The organizers recommend that you pay attention to the parking options at the event location and the homepage when arriving and parking. The competition meetings are designed so that teams are optimally prepared: the league meeting takes place at 8:40 a.m. and the women's league meeting at 10:30 a.m. Athletes should also inform themselves about the new special regulations, such as the use of wetsuits depending on water conditions.

With increasing numbers of participants and the introduction of new formats, the BWTV Triathlon League shows that triathlon is becoming more attractive in the region. VfL Waiblingen's performance in the sprint race is a clear sign of the strength and cohesion within the team, which is pursuing great ambitions this season.
