On June 26, 2025, the TSV Ötlingen sports shooters achieved a remarkable success at the Württemberg state championships in Ruit. The team, which is entering the Bundesliga this season as a promoted team, was able to reach first place with a solid performance. Successes last season
The sports shooting department of TSV Ötlingen was particularly active in the past 2022/2023 season and took part in competitions in various leagues and disciplines with a total of 12 teams. The successes were varied: The friendship group took second place in the Free Pistol category, while the large-caliber team took fourth place. In the sports pistol, the 1st team in the state league celebrated the championship title, while the 2nd team in the district league took 2nd place. In addition, the 3rd team in the district league ended the season in 11th place.
Promotion to the Bundesliga
The success of the 1st air pistol team is particularly noteworthy. This competed in the 2nd Bundesliga and achieved second place with 10:04 team and 23:12 individual points. In the relegation competition, she was able to secure promotion to the 1st Bundesliga with 3,697 total rings. The 2nd team in the Württemberg League, however, had to be relegated to the state league.
