Here too, residents can only reach their properties on foot, while their vehicles have to be parked elsewhere (meinbadhonnef.de).
Traffic routing and construction time

This plan will inform residents and road users of the adjustments that will be necessary during construction. The city is trying to minimize possible disruptions and make traffic flow as smoothly as possible. Completed construction phases will gradually be reopened to traffic.
In the first construction phase, which has been underway since September 2024, extensive work has already been completed on the supply lines between the market and the confluence with Rheingoldweg. The final road expansion in this previous section is expected to be completed in summer 2025, which should significantly improve traffic flow in this area (honnef-heute.de).
The entire construction work on Rommersdorfer Straße is scheduled to last until summer 2026. The city of Bad Honnef is in direct contact with residents to provide all the necessary information and to minimize the impact of the work on daily life as best as possible.
