Weekend highlights: festivals, concerts and fun on the Ostalb!

An exciting weekend is ahead, especially for those interested in music and culture in the Swabian Ostalb. From May 29th to June 1st, 2025, numerous events are planned in the region, with highlights to suit every taste.

The Ebnat Spring Festival promises a lot of fun and Bavarian flair. Organized by the Ebnat e.V. music association, the Bavarian evening with the band “Heilix Blechle” will be a highlight of the festival. The celebrations begin on Wednesday from 7 p.m. and continue on Thursday from 11 a.m. Entry costs 5 euros after 8 p.m.

At the same time, the Bargau music association is celebrating its 100th anniversary with an anniversary party. This event attracts numerous music clubs from the area and takes place from Thursday to Saturday on the festival lawn next to the FEIN Hall. Entry is possible for individual performances.

Cultural highlights and workshops

Another notable event is the Schorndorfer Guitar Days 2025. These promise an exciting mix of concerts and workshops that take place from Thursday to Sunday. The opening concert will be organized by Sönke Meinen and Julie Malia on Father's Day. The festival pass costs 69 euros and access to individual performances is also possible.

In the workshops, participants have the opportunity to improve their guitar skills under the guidance of well-known instructors such as Christophe Godin and Don Ross. Some workshops are already fully booked, but there are still a few places available, which represent a great opportunity to further develop your skills and exchange ideas.

For theater lovers, the weekend offers the comedy “Ladies Night”, which is performed from Friday to Sunday from 7 p.m. in the Dinkelsbühl open-air theater. Tickets cost from 27 euros on Friday and Saturday and are available for 25 euros on Sunday.

Musical events on Saturday

On Saturday, the event “Seiler and Speer Live” is on the program as part of the anniversary celebration of the Bargau Music Association, which starts at 6:30 p.m. The ticket for this costs 69 euros. There will also be a live concert with the singer-songwriter Jörg UTTE Vogt, which starts at 8 p.m. in the Kulturscheuer Farrenstall in Neuler.
