Drama on the pitch: Pattensen's bitter loss against JFV Hameln!

On May 26, 2025, exciting games took place in the various youth football leagues. In the A-Junior district league, SV Germania Grasdorf lost 1:3 in the top game against JFV Kaspel 09. Despite an early lead at halftime, coach Rene Türk criticized referee Felix Seehausen for controversial yellow-red cards and bad decisions that influenced the game. JFV Kaspel was successful, while Germania now had to bury their ambitions for the championship.

In the A-Juniors Lower Saxony League, SC Hemmingen-Westerfeld's home game against JFV Cloppenburg was postponed to May 24th. In the A-Junior State League, TSV Pattensen lost 1:2 to JFV Hameln. Liam Oberthür scored the first goal for Hameln in the 76th minute, followed by a controversial penalty that secured the equalizer and eventual victory. Coach Heinz Musehold praised the young team, but regretted their lack of effectiveness in finishing.

Enthusiasm in the B-Juniors Lower Saxony League

The performance of the B-Juniors of SC Hemmingen-Westerfeld was particularly impressive, as they defeated VfL Osnabrück II 6-3 in a high-scoring game. Rene Yattomma opened the goal festival in the third minute, which Osnabrück temporarily equalized. Thore Franz gave the team a 3-2 lead with two goals in the first half. Further goals from Mirzad Kutjes, Yattomma and Julien Thews ultimately led to a clear victory. Coach Arash Tawahen emphasized the morale of his team, which showed a strong performance despite some injured players.

New regulations for referees on DFB-Net

New regulations have been set up for the return series of the championship relays, including a referee expense pool. According to SR Hildesheim, this applies to the men's Oberliga Niedersachsen as well as the A and B junior Niedersachsenliga. The changes ensure simplified billing and clear handling of expenses. Travel costs now only have to be entered for the respective league. This will make the work of referees and assistants much easier.

In youth work, the concept of children's football is also being further promoted in the lower age groups. The DFB contributions show the importance of developing young talent, with varying game formats for G to E youth to emphasize fun and teamwork. A regulated play system is offered, which gives children the opportunity to develop their skills in an age-appropriate environment while at the same time enjoying the game.

In summary, the last matchday for the youth teams was full of emotions, highlights and also educational experiences that will shape the teams and their coaches. The ongoing developments, both on the field and in the regulations, show that football in Lower Saxony is on the right track.
