Miltenberg students explore history and culture – an unforgettable excursion!

On Pentecost Sunday, a remarkable concert took place in the collegiate church in Wertheim, which not only offered musical performances, but also had a strong intercultural and educational character. Organized for the community, the event attracted numerous participants who took the opportunity to experience the impressive architecture of the church as well as the musical sounds. The event was seen as an important cultural experience for visitors, making Whitsunday in Wertheim lively and enriched. As meine-news.de reports, the guests experienced a successful mix of tradition and contemporary music.

What is particularly noteworthy is that the event not only encouraged enjoyment, but also reflection and exchange. Music has a universal language and in this regard those present were able to experience a sense of community and understanding. In addition to the musical performances, participants were also inspired to engage in conversations and discussions, particularly regarding intercultural connection and exchange between different communities.

Educational tour and intercultural experiences

Parallel to this cultural highlight, a professional integration class from Miltenberg went on an excursion that pursued similar future-oriented goals. Almost two dozen students were given the opportunity to get to know their surroundings better. Accompanied by two teachers, they had the opportunity to visit sights in the old town and the pedestrian zone. According to main-echo.de, seasonal changes in the cityscape were noticed during the tour, which sparked interesting conversations between the participants.

An impressive moment was the visit to the Old Town Hall, where high water marks evoked memories of natural disasters, crises and escape among the students. Longer stays in the churches of St. James and St. John showed the respect and empathy of the young adults. Particularly noteworthy was Ukrainian students' interest in religious motifs that they knew from their Orthodox churches, while Muslim young people found cultural connections to Mary, the mother of Jesus, in the Koran.

Memories and visions of the future

During the excursion, numerous photos and videos were taken at important locations, including the market square and the Joseph Martin Kraus composer monument. The bronze statue was even hugged, prompting humorous selfies. Deeply affected, the students also showed respect for the old Jewish cemetery and the memorial paving stones that remind of the fate of their Jewish fellow citizens. The noticeable concern about missing stories and experiences of escape and expulsion suggests that Miltenberg does not remain just a city for the participants, but represents a platform for lasting memories and future excursions.

Overall, both the concert in Wertheim and the excursion of the vocational integration class show how important cultural and educational experiences are in today's world. They not only promote understanding between different cultures, but also appreciation for one's own history and that of other people.
