Happy spring festival in Geislingen: new products and fireworks await you!
The 73rd Geislingen Spring Festival is just around the corner and starts on June 27th. It will be celebrated at the TVA festival site until July 6th. The opening evening starts between 4 and 5 p.m., with regular operations continuing until 11 p.m. This traditional event attracts numerous visitors every year and offers a variety of attractions.
New this year are the spectacular giant swing called “Chaos” and the carousel “Polyp”, which are intended to provide lots of fun and entertainment. Family fun is also available on Family Day on Wednesday, where discounts apply. The general opening hours of the festival are Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m. The festival will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays due to lower visitor numbers, giving staff the opportunity to reduce overtime.
Tradition and fireworks
A highlight of the Geislingen Spring Festival is the traditional fireworks display that is set off on the TVA sports field on July 4th at 10:30 p.m. This spectacle usually attracts many visitors and creates a festive atmosphere.
Parallel to this event, the city of Geislingen is launching a photovoltaic campaign on April 29th entitled “No matter whether it’s a roof or a balcony – solar power for every home”. This campaign runs until July 1, 2025 and is supported by the Göppingen District Energy Agency. The initiative offers practical information about the use of photovoltaics for homes, apartment buildings and balconies.
A variety of events related to energy
The kick-off event for the photovoltaic campaign will take place in the Kapellmühlsaal in the MAG Geislingen. Mayor Frank Dehmer will present the campaign's goals, followed by a specialist lecture by Dominik Gauß, an energy consultant. Other planned events include:
- Online-Vortrag „Balkonkraftwerke“: 08. Mai 2025, 18:30 – 19:30 Uhr
- Online-Vortrag „Photovoltaik & smarte Kombination mit Wärmepumpe & E-Auto“: 15. Mai 2025, 18:30 – 19:30 Uhr
- Vortrag „Solarstrom vom Balkon“: 07. Juni 2025, 10:00 – 11:00 Uhr
- Praxis-Workshop „Balkonkraftwerke selbst bauen“: 07. Juni 2025, 11:30 – 14:30 Uhr
- Abschlussveranstaltung: 01. Juli 2025, 18:30 – 20:30 Uhr, Mehrgenerationenhaus Geislingen
Individual advice on photovoltaics is also available. The first 50 consultations are free, after which a fee of 40 euros is charged.
