Owen Sound North Stars: Impressive win in Collingwood!
The Owen Sound North Stars have started the Ontario Series Lacrosse League in impressive fashion. Last matchday they defeated Collingwood Cruise 5-3 in an exciting match. The game took place at Eddie Bush Arena in Collingwood and was another highlight for the North Stars, who have now won their last four meetings. With this win they improved their record to 4-1-0 and solidified their third place in the table, behind the Brooklin Merchants and the Six Nations Rivermen.
The start of the match was promising for the North Stars when Dawson McKenzie took the lead after just 24 seconds. Aiden Doig and Riley Thompson also contributed to the first period, which ended in a remarkable 3-0 win for Owen Sound. Rob Harris made it 4-0 in the second period before Collingwood mounted a comeback in the final third, scoring three goals from Braydon Hickey, Riley Morgan and Travid Bland. Jake Sposita secured victory for the North Stars with another goal, while Dante Mancini was celebrated as the winning goalkeeper.
