New on Apple TV+: Exciting series and films in June 2025!

Apple launched its streaming platform Apple TV+ at the end of 2019 to compete in the highly competitive market with providers such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. On June 18, 2025, the company released a series of new content that further enriches the diverse program and includes both comedy and thriller elements.

The comedy series “Stick” started on June 4th with prominent actors such as Owen Wilson and Marc Maron. This is about Pryce Cahill, a failed golfer who discovers the talent of a 17-year-old golfer. Shortly afterwards, on June 13th, the thriller “Echo Valley” with Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney followed. Here a mother tries to improve her relationship with her daughter, who stands in front of her covered in blood, creating an exciting twist. Today, June 18, the second season of the popular drama series “The Buccaneers,” which focuses on American women in 1870s London, is released.

New content and podcast offers

Viewers can expect more interesting content in the coming week. The podcast “Easy Money: The Charles Ponzi Story” will be published on June 23rd, which highlights the rise and fall of a con artist. On June 26th, the action film “F1” will be released with Brad Pitt, in which he plays the role of a former racing driver who returns to Formula 1. The crime drama series “Smoke” ends the month on June 27th, which is based on true events and tells the story of a police officer and an arson investigator.

Prices and subscription information

For users in Germany, the monthly subscription to Apple TV+ has now increased to 9.99 euros, up from 4.99 euros. The annual subscription now costs 99.99 euros, previously 69.99 euros. What's new is that the subscription is offered free for the first three months when you purchase an Apple device. The service is also integrated into Apple One subscriptions at prices of 19.95 euros (individuals), 25.95 euros (families) and 34.95 euros (premium). There is a special offer for students, as they get free access with an Apple Music subscription (5.99 euros per month).

Another attractive feature is the ability to share the subscription with up to five family members via Family Sharing. In addition, up to six streams can run simultaneously, which makes Apple TV+ particularly user-friendly. The platform is compatible with a variety of devices, including iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, as well as smart TVs and streaming boxes with the Apple TV app. Users benefit from high-definition quality, including 4K, HDR and Dolby Atmos, making the streaming experience even more engaging.

As SPIEGEL reports, Apple TV+ is growing rapidly and is positioning itself as a provider of high-quality in-house productions. Well-known titles such as “Ted Lasso”, “The Morning Show” and “See – Empire of the Blind” are attracting more and more viewers to the platform.

This means that Apple TV+ not only has the responsibility to meet the expectations of its subscribers, but also the opportunity to compete in an increasingly saturated market by continuously providing new and high-quality content. With the changes in pricing and new productions, Apple TV+ could well gain popularity in the second half of 2025.
