Unterensinger Village Festival 2025: Celebrate, dance and experience cult!

On July 12th and 13th, 2025, Unterensingen will be transformed into a pulsating festival location. The village festival, which has a 38-year tradition, is preparing for an exciting weekend made possible by 1.5 years of careful planning. A highlight of the first festival is the official tapping of the barrel, which will take place on Friday, July 11th at 4 p.m. The event promises an exuberant atmosphere for both young and old with lots of good music, dancing and happy socializing. The festival will be opened by Steffen Letsche, the first board member of the village festival community, and Mayor Friz, who will take part in the village festival for the last time as mayor after 31 years in office. The celebration is accompanied musically by the Unterensinger brass band, which ensures a great atmosphere on Sunday until 7 p.m. Saturday evening will be dedicated to the band “Pink Party Plane” from Stuttgart, who will thrill the audience with current hits.

Family friendly festival

The village festival is characterized by a new structure of the stands around the fountain. For the little guests there is a sandpit and a large awning over the Neckarstrasse, which ensures pleasant cooling when temperatures are high. To increase the feel-good climate, a water mist is installed. Sunday falls on Family Day, with a colorful program that includes bouncy castles, play streets, face painting, archery, goal wall shooting and many other activities. This also includes grilling bread on sticks.

Traditionally, the marching band of the Unterensingen Volunteer Fire Department will wake up the residents on Sunday mornings, while various clubs present their program on stage. The Unterboihingen Music Association will provide further musical highlights on Sunday lunchtime. The entire event usually also attracts former citizens back to the village, which underlines the special cult character of the village festival.

Security and payment

The municipality has also taken care of safety and is planning road closures and a new road safety concept. Payment during the village festival is made with a special village fixed deposit, which is available from July 1st at the Kreissparkasse and “s’Lädle”. The village fixed deposit can be exchanged at “s’Lädle” or used in the new Nahkauf until July 31st. The organizing team wants things to run smoothly, as well as good weather and, of course, lots of visitors to make the festival an unforgettable experience.
