SCANDAL in the supermarket! Manufacturers cheat with inferior ingredients!
The world of food is facing a catastrophic change shock! A shocking discovery Hamburg Consumer Center has set alarm bells ringing: Manufacturers are trying to cold-bloodedly replace expensive ingredients with cheaper ones in a PRACTICE known as “skimpflation”! Consumers have to face the devastating trend: LESS QUALITY at the SAME PRICES! A real scandal!
Unimaginable cases can now be discovered on the shelves of your supermarkets. The famous “Favorite Nut Nougat Cream” from Netto has reduced the hazelnut content from an incredible 20% to a shocking 13%! And the ketchup bottle from Kaufland’s own brand “KClassic”? Even here, the tomato paste content was reduced from 73% to an alarming 72%. Who else can taste the difference in this crisis? In addition, the butter content of Knorr's “Feinschmecker Lemon Butter Sauce” fell from 25% to a pitiful 10%! Consumers have to SHOW and add butter themselves to get an acceptable product!
The Horrifying Extents of “Skimpflation”
The list goes on! The processed cheese “Milkana creamy light” has reduced its cheese composition from 65% to a devastating 42% – all while the prices for consumers barely budge! More and more products are suffering from this invisible but terrible change!
How can that be? The Consumer advice center explains that through these perfidious recipe changes, manufacturers can achieve significant savings in the hundreds of thousands - at the expense of consumers! Fresh foods such as margarine are reduced from 80% fat to a modest 60%. Instead of the high-quality content, more water and cheaper fillers are suddenly used.
But as if that wasn't enough! “Shrinkflation” – shrinking pack sizes while increasing prices – makes the situation even worse. Muesli producers like Kölln are reducing the quantity of chocolate mueslis and at the same rip-off prices! Consumers are powerless and clueless!
The dark trend of misdirection
How can consumers identify this food quality fraud? It's a HIDDEN game! Misleading labels such as “new formula” or “improved formula” are often nothing more than optical illusions. Loud T Online “Skimpflation” has been known since 2018, and yet there is an alarmingly high number of unreported cases. Who knows how far the fraud has reached?
The consumer advice center urgently calls for more transparency and calls on people to report such further rip-off cases, but the fight against this insidious practice is becoming a shadowy existence! The manufacturers rely on secrecy and trick buyers with hidden changes!
It's high time to open your eyes and defend yourself against these machinations! The time for silence is over - consumers must take action and stand up for their rights. Because the next pack could turn your favorite product into an inferior rip-off! Be alert!
