Wave of burglaries shakes Gärtringen: clubhouses in sight!
On the night of September 16, 2025, clubs in Gärtringen, a municipality in the Böblingen district, once again fell victim to break-ins. Unknown perpetrators broke into the clubhouse on “Am Weingartenberg” street by levering a roller shutter and breaking open a door. The burglars stole a cash box with a low three-digit amount, while the amount of property damage is currently unknown. This crime is one of a series of burglaries that have occurred in the region in recent weeks.
The police have already started investigations and are examining possible connections between these incidents. It is striking that the perpetrators' approach was identical in previous burglaries in Altdorf, Nufringen and Herrenberg. Back in August, five burglaries in sports centers were discovered in a single night, forcing the criminal police to carry out intensive investigations. The citizens of Gärtringen are called upon to report suspicious observations and thus support the ongoing investigation.
Investigations and calling for witnesses
The police have contacted both the Gärtringen police station and the Ludwigsburg police headquarters and are asking witnesses to contact them on 07034 / 2539 0 or by email to herrenberg.prev@polizei.bwl.de. Questions can be directed to the police headquarters on 07141 18-8777. These break-ins are not only a burden for the club community, but also fuel fears among the population about increasing crime in the region.
The current clearance rate for such crimes is often low, which is why cooperation with the public is of great importance. Every clue could potentially be crucial in catching the perpetrators and preventing further break-ins. Those responsible appeal to citizens' security awareness and call on everyone to be vigilant.
