TV Altdorf is urgently looking for success: home game against Holz is coming up!
TV Altdorf is facing an important game in the 2nd Bundesliga. On November 1, 2025, the volleyball players under the leadership of coach Christy Swagerty want to get back on the road to success after two consecutive defeats. The home game against TV Holz offers the chance to celebrate the second win of the season and leave the competition behind.
In the 2024/2025 season so far, the team, which was initially viewed with skepticism, has increasingly stabilized. The players improved their communication and collaboration during the games, resulting in a 5th place finish. A significant change marked the squad with the departure of player Mathilda Dogu, who will only play in the north of Germany in the future, while the new additions Sophia Botsch, Lily Zant, Nelly Hölzlein and Amelie Fuchs (with the right to play doubles) bring a breath of fresh air into the team.
Preparation and training camp
Preparations for the new season took place intensively between the end of May and the beginning of July. Under the guidance of athletics coach Jürgen, the focus was particularly on basics and strength training. A training camp in August in Bischofsgrün was intended to further strengthen team chemistry and optimally prepare the players for the start of the season. The opening game against TSV Unterhaching took place on September 20th in front of the home crowd and represented a first test for the newly assembled team.
In view of the upcoming encounter against TV Holz, Swagerty is certain: “More consistency is required.” The season so far has shown that the Altdorfers are able to keep up with the best teams. But this also requires a stable performance at this crucial point in the season, as NN.de reports.
The competition in the league
The 2nd Bundesliga is characterized by exciting encounters. Parallel to the TV Altdorf home game, the L.E. Volleys on the same day by the relegation-threatened team from TSV Mühldorf in the Brüderhalle. Here too, the teams are highly motivated as the table situation remains tense. On November 2nd there are further duels like that between the Volley YoungStars Friedrichshafen and TSV Grafing, which will enrich the competition. These developments contribute to the dynamics of the league, in which every point is precious, as Volleyball-Bundesliga.de notes.
For the volleyball ladies at TV Altdorf it is now time to focus on the upcoming game. With the aim of celebrating their second win of the season, the players are prepared to face the challenges in the 2nd Bundesliga. The anticipation for the game is high and the team has the opportunity to convert the lessons learned from the season into positive results.
