Big music festival in Rohrdorf: Celebrate 100 years of the band!

In 2025 the music band Rohrdorf e. V. a very special anniversary: ​​100 years of musical tradition and community. From July 3rd to 6th, 2025, a large music festival will be held that will honor both the music band and the Adelegger Alphornbläser, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary. In the midst of the preparations for this festival, the importance of intergenerational community and volunteerism is particularly emphasized.

The Rohrdorf music band was founded on January 14, 1925 with just 12 members and has since expanded to 55 active members, including 26 young brass players. A recent highlight was the excellent performance in the 2024 competition in the upper school. The Adelegger Alphornbläser, which was founded by four musicians in the early 1990s, has also made a name for itself with its unique sounds.

Planned program

The music festival's festive organization is diverse and promises entertainment for all generations. The event begins on Thursday, July 3rd, with a beer tapping at 5:30 p.m., followed by a star march by the MiWA bands and an atmospheric evening at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 4th, starts with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., before the brass ensemble “5er Blech” performs at 7:00 p.m., followed by the popular Riedberg party band at 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 5th, after a morning pint with the Mauls sponsored band from South Tyrol, will offer a mix of musical performances from 11:00 a.m., including individual lectures by the alphorn groups and a full choir with over 200 participants at 4:00 p.m. The festival ends with performances by “Allgäuer Ziachblosn” and “Blech & Co.” as well as the “Musikatzen”.

Festive highlights

Sunday, July 6th, begins with a church service, which is accompanied musically by the sponsor band from Mauls. This is followed by a morning pint with the Maierhöfen music band and a parade at 1:30 p.m. in which 35 music bands and various Rohrdorf clubs take part. The traditional parade of flags creates a festive atmosphere in the festival tent, which is accompanied musically by the Friesenhofen traditional band and the Christazhofen music band.
