Münster celebrates SENSATION: record number of 187 entries in the history competition!

INCREDIBLE! Münster has managed to come to the TOP in the Federal President's latest history competition and to show incredible personality development among the participants! With a shocking record of187 postsThe city achieved the highest participation of any other city in Germany! This impressive number was announced today, onJuly 10, 2025, was announced, while the enthusiastic students were honored for their achievements.

The City of Münster can be proud of it, almost30 more poststhan in the record year 2014/2015. How dramatic is that?! The students dealt with the hot topic "So far and no further?! Limits in history" and reflected on the world around them in an amazing way. MayorMaria Winkelpraised the incredible commitment of the young historians who not only examined borders between countries, but also between people, animals, and the fine lines between right and wrong!

Shocking insights and contributions

The total number of participants is over6,700 children and young peoplefrom all over Germany, who are inalmost 2,300 postsdealing with topics such as flight and migration. Isn't that SENSATIONAL? With support from more than900 tutorsThe students have undertaken tireless research trips to countries such as Hungary, South Korea and even South American regions to explore the outer limits of their own knowledge!

The creativity of the submitted work is simply OVERWHELMING! From non-fiction texts to films to plays, podcasts and even a board game, the students managed to express their ideas in every way imaginable. The Körber Foundation, which organizes this competition, has once again proven that history comes to life in many ways.
