Hoffeld is happy about the new bakery: a treat for the neighbors!
A new bakery opened in Hoffeld at the beginning of May 2025, which is managed by 29-year-old Ali Dalyanli. With his takeover, Dalyanli brings a breath of fresh air to the town center, which had previously suffered from the closure of the previous bakery branch. Above all, the economic difficulties of the previous operator led to the closure, which district head Colyn Heinze regretted in March 2025. Hoffeld, a community with about 2,800 residents, including many seniors, experienced unstable local supplies, which was further exacerbated by the closure of a pharmacy in 2023. In addition to a kiosk, a hair salon and a grocery store, Dalyanli's bakery is an important addition to the village community.
Dalyanli, who comes from Feuerbach, wants an increasing number of customers and is continually expanding his range. Initially, in addition to traditional baked goods, he will also offer pizza and tarte flambée, with plans to add other products such as potato salad, meatloaf and schnitzel to his offering. A special attraction will be the newly designed café area, where customers can linger with freshly brewed coffee. The bakery is also complemented by a delivery service that allows people to place their orders from the comfort of their own home.
Rural development
The bakery in Hoffeld is part of a larger trend to improve local supplies in rural areas. With its “LandVersorge” program, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) aims to secure public services in these regions. The support includes, among other things, the development of sustainable local supply concepts and the promotion of projects that improve the accessibility of goods and services.
Models supported by LandVersorge are already showing success, such as the development of regional online ordering platforms or innovative delivery services. These concepts are particularly important because many rural communities rely on stable local supplies that are often difficult to access. Ideally, the Dalyanli bakery could initiate positive development and serve as an example for future projects in the region.
Hoffeld is not only challenged in its shopping location, but also has historical and cultural landmarks that characterize the village. The proximity to important institutions in Stuttgart - such as the Degerloch district, home of the Stuttgarter Kickers and other cultural institutions - shows that the region has many facets.
Overall, the reopening of the Hoffelder Bakery is a positive step for the community and could help stabilize local supplies in the region. The future remains exciting and we will see how the bakery can continue to grow in the context of rural development.
The bakery's opening times are Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - it remains closed on Sundays. Details about the bakery can be found at onlinestreet.de.
