Winnenden without Bar Amis: This is how the city meeting will change in 2025!
The Amis bar on Lower Marktstrasse in Winnenden has closed its doors after a farewell party last weekend. This closure has a notable impact on this year's City Meeting, which will take place from July 18th to 21st, 2025. In recent years, the area in front of the bar has been a popular place for nightly parties with dancing and live music, but such events will no longer be possible at the upcoming City-Treff ZVW reports.
The City-Treff will traditionally begin with a musical opening by the Municipal BlasOrchester on the market square stage. The band “Die Dicken Kinder” will also perform and present a varied music repertoire from rock, pop, soul, funk, hip hop, dance, salsa, calypso, samba, country, rockabilly and swing. This is intended to attract visitors and create a good atmosphere, reports Discover Winnenden.
Diverse offers at the City-Treff
The culinary offerings during the city meeting are just as diverse. In addition to traditional bratwursts, dishes from local restaurateurs and Winnenden wineries as well as the volunteer fire department are also offered. There will be a children's and youth mile on Wallstrasse, where various activities, such as a TWall games wall, a bobby car racing track and a human table football, will be offered free of charge to everyone.
In addition, the results of a graffiti workshop will be exhibited on construction fences on Wallstrasse, highlighting the creative contribution of local youth to the festival. There will be various rides on the Viehmarktplatz, while visitors on Kirchstrasse can relax in the wine arbor and enjoy a glass of wine. The event will be rounded off by DJs on Calzada Square, who will create the necessary party atmosphere.
Free bus travel for visitors
A special highlight is the free bus ride on July 19th and 20th in Winnenden and the surrounding districts, which applies to all bus routes in the city. This allows visitors to easily take part in the various events and enjoy the festival to the fullest.
