Impact and damage of the last few days

Last Saturday, the northern half of Baden-Württemberg experienced serious storms, which led to over 100 fire and police operations. Cities such as Mannheim and Heidelberg were particularly affected, where numerous uprooted trees and fallen scaffolding were reported. Fortunately, there are currently no injuries to report. Nevertheless, property damage in the district was over 35,000 euros after a truck got into trouble in Leimen due to adverse weather conditions.

In Ulm, a lightning strike caused damage to the cathedral's electrical system, which led to the city being asked to turn down the tower lighting. Fallen trees also caused a stir in Pforzheim, where a pavilion was blown off a roof terrace and was secured by the police.
