Zvw.de reports that meteorologist Fabian Chow from the German Weather Service (DWD) explains that a bitter battle between pressure areas is causing capricious weather that is keeping the population on their toes!
Despite the unexpectedly capricious weather, summer temperatures of over 25 degrees are expected on Friday, and in some regions on the Rhine even a shocking 30 degrees! While the south and west are enjoying the sun to the fullest, a dark curtain of short showers and thunderstorms is gathering in the northeast, steering the landscape into extremely dangerous directions.

Back to Stuttgart: At night it cools down to icy single-digit temperatures, while ice-cold fog and very foggy storm clouds are brewing in the north! This is certainly not a summer dream!

But appearances are deceptive: Towards the afternoon, a threatening cloud front will appear, which could build up at all altitudes and lead to unpredictable thunderstorms and intense rain showers! The prediction of DWD speaks of local heavy rain with up to 30 liters per square meter - within a very short period of time!
Sunday night could change everything! Raging thunderstorms move from the south and southwest to the middle of Germany - a weather drama that is unparalleled! While the east can hope for lighter weather, the rest of Germany will be trapped in a sticky humidity with dangerous thunderstorms and showers.
