On July 27, 2025, the 36th goat show takes place in Schorndorf-Buhlbronn. This tradition, which has existed for many years, is organized in cooperation with the goat breeding association Edelweiß Rems-Murr and TSG Buhlbronn in 1962. The Buhlbronn sports field, located on the Kelter, becomes a setting, where visitors can experience a variety of goat breeds up close. The goat breeding association Edelweiß Rems-Murr has experienced changes in the recent past. The previous association chairman has given up his office for personal reasons. At the general meeting on February 28, 2025, Michael Stirm was elected as the new chairman. Stirm breeds colorful German noble goats and brings a breath of fresh air to the club, while the planning for the goat show is in full swing. The organizer has put together an entertaining supporting program in cooperation with TSG Buhlbronn, which is tailored to the expectations of visitors. According to Ziegenzucht-rmk.de a specialist lecture by veterinarian Dr. Sieglinde Frohnmayer took place in October during a later general meeting. The lecture will deal with gastrointestinal worms, especially the "red-turned stomach worm", as well as resistance formation and treatment options.
