The 10th matchday of the 2nd Handball Bundesliga took place on November 11th, 2025, where numerous decisions were made over an exciting weekend. The games on Saturday featured three encounters, all of which ended with just one goal difference, and a further four games were played on Sunday.
VfL Eintracht Hagen maintained its top position in the league with a narrow 40:39 win against TV Großwallstadt. Pouya Norouzinezhad was his team's best scorer with ten goals, while Hakon Styrmisson secured the decisive goal in the final minutes. Second in the table, SG BBM Bietigheim, also prevailed and won 31:30 against Bayer Dormagen, with Jonathan Fischer scoring ten goals. However, TV Hüttenberg had to accept a defeat and lost to HSC 2000 Coburg with 28:29, although they fought back strongly after a deficit of four goals.
Results of the weekend
The weekend brought some other notable results: Dessau-Roßlauer HV won 34:28 against HC Oppenweiler/Backnang and concluded the turbulent game period. On Sunday, HBW Balingen-Weilstetten showed an outstanding performance by winning 43:26 against TUSEM Essen. Mateusz Kornecki became the backbone of the team with 11 saves, supported by Tobias Heinzelmann and Sascha Pfattheicher, who each contributed nine goals.
In another thrilling encounter, HC Elbflorenz and TuS Ferndorf split 33:33. Ferndorf managed to overcome a five-goal deficit. HSG Nordhorn-Lingen recorded a 28:25 win against TuS N-Lübbecke, with Kristian van der Merwe shining with 14 saves. Finally, VfL Lübeck-Schwartau won 32:25 against the Eulen Ludwigshafen, with Paul Dreyer standing out with 15 saves and Paul Holzacker, who scored six goals.
Final phase on Monday
The matchday concluded with the duel between 1. VfL Potsdam and HSG Krefeld Niederrhein, which Potsdam won 38:34. The decision was made in the final phase, with Marvin Siemer (7/2) and Nicolas Paulnsteiner (6) being the top scorers for Potsdam. On the other hand, Anel Durmic was able to convince Krefeld with ten saves. The intense games of the weekend once again show the exciting competition in the 2nd Handball Bundesliga, which offers both drama and passion.
