Celebrating diversity: Queer & Friends picnic on the Bärenwiese!

On June 28, 2025, a special event will take place on the Bärenwiese in Ludwigsburg: the “Queer & Friends Picnic”. This event begins at 4 p.m. and is aimed at people of all orientations and generations. The aim is to promote inclusivity and community within urban society.

The event will be held in an informal setting with no fixed organization. Participants are invited to bring their own picnic supplies such as blankets, snacks and drinks. There should be space for spontaneous conversations and interaction in a pleasant atmosphere. Openness and respect are at the forefront, as is the aspect of sustainability, where all participants are encouraged to dispose of their own waste. A space is created in which people can walk from “ceiling to ceiling” and make new contacts. This initiative highlights the importance of solidarity and tolerance in the region. Joint celebration of diversity

DJs such as Ronja Ravertochter and Jona Davis provided the musical accompaniment, while the drag performances by MissPerm and Dua Look from Stuttgart thrilled the audience. In addition, a group of students, consisting of Cara Walter and Lena Baur, exhibited their paintings that addressed patriarchal power relations. This event was part of QuerTapete, a special edition of the KulturTapete event series, and relied on a solidarity pricing model. Visitors could decide for themselves how much they wanted to pay for entry and drinks.
