Swabian Whiskey Day 2025: A festival of flavors and enjoyment in Sersheim!
On Saturday, July 12, 2025, the 7th Swabian Whiskey Day will take place at the Fesslermill 1396 distillery in Sersheim from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event offers a comprehensive program for whiskey fans, gourmets and curious people from all over Germany. Admission is free and is aimed at anyone interested in the world of whisky.
The event is a project of the Fessler family, which can now look back on over a decade of experience. The distillery was recognized for its outstanding achievements in 2023; Master distillers Wolfgang and Tobias Fessler were honored as “Best Whiskey Distillers of the Year”. This speaks for the quality and reputation of the in-house products.
A variety of activities and culinary delights
Visitors can look forward to guided tours of the newly built Whiskey Warehouse, where they can learn all about distilling using local grains. There is also the opportunity to freely explore the distillery and sample highly award-winning distillates at a tasting stand. A highlight of the day will be the newly developed Lembergerfass whiskey, which has matured in a special barrel made of Maulbronn oak.
The event places great emphasis on an individual experience. In contrast to large crowds, the focus here is on craftsmanship and enjoyment. The culinary offering includes home-style cooking prepared by Gerlinde Fessler, as well as cocktails, soft drinks and Guinness on tap, complemented by mettermalt bread.
Artistic and musical collaborations
This year the Fesslermill distillery is cooperating with various artists and events, including the well-known pop band PUR, the Wacken Open Air and VfB Stuttgart. In addition, the event will be enriched by a visual highlight: chainsaw artist Dieter Binder will create live wooden sculptures on site, offering visitors a unique experience.
The guest distilleries represented at this event include finch, Tecker, Danne’s Whiskey, Marder Edelbrennerei and T. Sonthi, who will also offer rum and gin. This variety promises an extensive taste experience for all visitors.
