Summer fun in Aspach-Rietenau: open-air theater returns!

An extraordinary open-air theater will be performed in the picturesque community of Aspach-Rietenau. From July 31st to August 3rd, 2025, the play “Lauter Gute Leut” will be performed on the former Vorlo company premises at Badstrasse 30, which was considered a closed place for a long time. The talented Lea Butsch is the director, who also acts as the playwright. She is supported by a dedicated ensemble of around 30 amateur actors who want to inspire the audience with their performance.

The action of the play takes place in the 1970s and deals with important historical and social issues such as the student revolt, the Red Army Faction (RAF), National Socialism and the death of farmers. The focus is on the story of a prodigal son who returns to his home village after failed career plans in Berlin. Topics such as diversity and the acceptance of those who think differently become tangible through the narrative.

Creative staging on Lost Place

A particular highlight of the performance is the use of the outdoor area of the old factory building, including the former loading dock and stairs. The creative production will be rounded off by the live band “The Nodding Heads”, which will play suitable music. Colorful 1970s-style costumes sourced from flea markets create an authentic flair, creating a nostalgic atmosphere.

Participation in this unique event is possible for only 15 euros; tickets can be reserved via the website www.rietenauer-huk.de. Doors open at 6 p.m. and performances begin at 7 p.m. Revo Hospitality Group, the owners of the site, have provided access to this special location, which had been cordoned off for around ten years. This makes the open-air theater a special experience for visitors and a highlight of cultural life in the region.

Those interested have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of theater and at the same time discover a “lost place”. Further information can be found at Stuttgart News and for an even deeper examination of cultural lost places Can art.
