Michelin 2025: These restaurants in the Rems-Murr district shine!
The new Michelin Guide 2025 was eagerly awaited, especially in the Rems-Murr district. There will be exciting news for foodies and gastronomy lovers on June 23, 2025. One of the most important findings is that the restaurant “Untere Apotheke” in Waiblingen is recommended as a “Selected Restaurant”. Under the leadership of chef Max Rebhorn and owner Pablo Fernandez, the restaurant has taken another step towards gastronomic prestige. In today's fast-paced dining scene, such recommendations are crucial.
A further look at the guide shows that the restaurant “Rebblick” in Korb is recommended, but has lost its Bib Gourmand award, which it received in 2024. This award stands for good cuisine at reasonable prices and is a sought-after sign of appreciation for many restaurants. In contrast, the Landgasthaus Hirsch in Winterbach-Manolzweiler has successfully defended its Bib Gourmand award for 2025.
One-star restaurants in the Rems-Murr district
As already mentioned, five restaurants in the Rems-Murr district have also been awarded one star in the Michelin Guide 2025. These are:
- Cédric Staudenmayer (Weinstadt-Beutelsbach)
- Malathounis (Kernen-Stetten)
- Bachofer (Waiblingen)
- Oettinger’s (Fellbach)
- Nico Burkhardt (Schorndorf)
All five restaurants maintained their high standards and once again impressed the Michelin testers. This shows the constant commitment of the chefs, who not only want to satisfy their guests, but also the guide's examiners. In 2025, the Michelin Guide will cover an impressive 480 pages and contain a total of 341 restaurants in Germany that have been awarded at least one Michelin star. This is a record and the number of star restaurants in Germany continues to grow.
A look back at top cuisine
In Germany there are currently twelve restaurants with three stars and 47 with two stars. The five award-winning restaurants in the Rems-Murr district contribute to the region's recognized culinary diversity. Thanks to the commitment of chefs and hosts, the gastronomic scene is constantly enriched and dynamically developing.
The new Michelin Guide 2025 is expected to be published at the end of July. Until then, the anticipation of the further discoveries and culinary highlights to be discovered remains unbroken. The guide will play an important role not only for gastronomy, but also for the culture of food in Germany by celebrating both old traditions and innovative approaches.
