Participatory fun: Creative marble run activity in the Blooming Baroque!
Next weekend, May 31st and June 1st, 2025, an exciting marble run event will take place in the Blühenden Baroque in Ludwigsburg. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., both children and adults are invited to take part in designing a creative marble run in conjunction with the current sand art exhibition. Participants have the opportunity to expand the existing part of the track, while the largest section is realized together with the guests.
Various materials such as gutters, tubes and of course marbles are available for the project. The goal is to create an interactive art and game object that will last until the end of the sand art exhibition on August 3, 2025. This year, this exhibition is based on the motto “biodiversity”, which is addressed through numerous artistic sand sculptures created under the artistic direction of Jeroen van de Vlag.
Sand art exhibition in the Blooming Baroque
The sand-nature-art exhibition in the Blooming Baroque offers an impressive collection of colorful motifs that are created from sand with great precision by artists. Particularly worth mentioning is the Speed Carving Contest, in which two artists compete against each other live and the audience chooses the winner. This event showcases the artistry and technique behind sand carving.
The sand used is of high quality: sharp-edged and angular, which makes the sculptures more stable. In total, about 30 tons of sand are used, pressed in layers before carving begins. A biodegradable protective solution protects the artworks from the elements so they can be enjoyed by viewers for an extended period of time.
The sand-nature-art exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and promises a unique experience for the entire family. The weekend events complement this experience and offer the opportunity to become an active part of the creative processes. Visit the Blooming Baroque in Ludwigsburg to take part in this interactive art event and discover the impressive sand art works.
