Kornwestheim is calling for Christmas tree donations for festive splendor!
The city of Kornwestheim is calling on all citizens to donate large Christmas trees for festive decorations in the city center and on the town hall tower. We are particularly looking for firs and spruces with a height of five meters or more. The city has already set a clear framework for the fundraising campaign: The trees must be on Kornwestheimer Markung or on the city limits and should be in good condition. Interested donors can report their trees to the Civil Engineering and Green Spaces Department, which can be reached by phone at 07154 / 202-7120.
After notification, an on-site appointment will be made to check the suitability of the trees offered. A special feature of the campaign is that donors do not have to bear any costs for felling the tree. The city takes on this task through the building yard and the city gardening department. The most beautiful Christmas trees are then festively lit and transform the city center and the town hall tower into a Christmas landscape.
The importance of tree donations
This campaign goes beyond just Christmas decorations. Seeds for environmental awareness and sustainable traditions are supported by the “Aktion Baum” initiative. The organization offers an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional Christmas cards by encouraging people to donate a tree instead of cards.
