50 years of the Affalterbach Tennis Club: A celebration for young and old!

Last Sunday, the Affalterbach Tennis Club (TCA) celebrated an important anniversary: 50 years of club history. For this special occasion, those responsible invited people to an open day to welcome both long-standing members and new interested parties. The club's chairman, Sigi Zahn, warmly welcomed the guests and emphasized that the goal of the club was to inspire both young and old for the sport of tennis. This philosophical orientation is also reflected in the TCA's membership structure, which currently numbers around 200 people and includes a mix of ambitious players and recreational players. According to the information from the Marbacher Zeitung the day was a complete success.

In his speech, Mayor Steffen Döttinger praised the TCA and highlighted the club's remarkable contribution, which made it possible to make the club facility so inviting. During the event there was a lot of activity on the tennis courts, where two trainers from the Württemberg Tennis Association introduced children and young people to the sport of tennis in a playful way. The TCA offers members the opportunity to participate in teams of different levels, whether for children, teenagers or adults. This is supplemented by a range of recreational sports, which invites you to take part in a varied club life in a relaxed, family atmosphere, confirms the club's website.

A colorful program for all age groups

The day's varied program attracted many visitors. Club coach Rainer Schleweck looked after the adults, while Ilona Schondelmaier impressively presented the development opportunities within the club as part of a show training session. A sporting highlight was the show match between Leonie Schondelmaier and Dominik Minkus, which was very well received by the spectators.

Another highlight of the anniversary was the generous donation from Boris Schwarz, the managing director of Schwarz&Rohloff, who provided uniform jerseys for the TCA youth. This support shows the commitment of local companies to sport and the community in Affalterbach. Sigi Zahn expressed himself extremely satisfied with the new trial memberships and thanked the numerous helpers, without whose efforts the festival could not have taken place so successfully.

Thanks to the community

The Affalterbach Tennis Club thanked the citizens for their visit and continued support. The TCA is a club that not only promotes sporting achievements, but also wants to strengthen the community and cohesion in Affalterbach. Anyone interested is invited to take part in the various activities and get to know the possibilities of tennis in the club.
