Sample area in Arnum: Four paving variants for a new look!
As part of the extensive “Arnum Mitte” renovation project, a sample area is currently being created on Alte Wilkenburger Straße in front of the pumping station in Arnum. This area serves as a clear representation of four different paving stone variants, such as: Leash flash reported. The aim is to give residents and responsible committees a realistic impression of the future design options for public space.
Work on the sample area is currently underway. The area will be open to the public from the end of next week, and the city administration invites anyone interested to visit. Feedback and suggestions can be sent by email to deepbau@stadthemmingen.de.
Ramanagement and funding
The renovation of the area is part of the urban development funding program “Growth and Sustainable Renewal – Creating Livable Neighborhoods”, into which the city of Hemmingen was accepted in 2020. Loud City of Hemmingen Both public and private measures in the redevelopment area can be funded, with a funding guideline based on a design manual being planned.
A main goal of the renovation is to improve the design, greenery and microclimate along Göttinger Straße in Arnum. At the beginning, an inventory analysis of the private buildings and land will be carried out, which will be led by the Puche planning group from Hildesheim.
Site visits to the redevelopment area are planned for September, during which the private properties will be examined and photos taken. The results of this analysis will be presented at a citizens' meeting, with the date to be announced in good time.
