Important general meeting of TTV Erdmannhausen on June 2nd!
The general meeting of the Erdmannhausen table tennis club (TTV) will take place on June 2nd, 2025. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the small meeting room of the Erdmannhausen town hall. All members are warmly invited to take part. Important items are on the agenda, such as the annual report from the chairman of the board as well as reports from the treasurer, the auditor, the sports director and the youth leader. There will then be a discussion on the reports and the discharge of the board of directors. Elections to the board and administrative team are also planned. Applications for the meeting must be submitted in writing to CEO Joachim Weber by May 31, 2025, according to the Stuttgarter Nachrichten.
The last general meeting of the TTV took place on March 14, 2025 and can be viewed as successful. 40 members were present at this meeting, including Mayor Marcus Kohler. The association's membership currently stands at 495, divided into 293 male and 202 female members. The deceased member Alfred Hermann was particularly honored in a minute's silence. There were also honors for long-standing members, including Angela Knapp and Dr. Johannes Wörz for 50 years of membership and Luca Allemann and Aaron Zeh for 25 years.
Elections and reports
During this meeting there were also reports from the board members about their respective departments. Melani Zint, Michaela Kramer and Roland Beck were recognized for their work as retired board members with a bouquet of flowers and a gift bag. While Corinna Barth was elected as Roland Beck's successor in the press department, unfortunately no successor could be found for the office of the economic service. However, the confirmations of board members Aaron Zeh (sports officer), Kathrin Jaki (cashier) and Michael Büchel (grassroots sports) testify to stable leadership.
A highlight of the last meeting was Mark Unsöld's report on the hall construction project. A preliminary building request has already been submitted and members will be informed as soon as the plans become more concrete. Despite the challenges of finding sponsors, support was provided by local companies that already support other clubs. The TTV has also introduced new structures within the table tennis department in order to optimize training for young talent.
Future prospects
TTV members also have a leisure offer for casual table tennis, although competitions and the association round are not compulsory. The German Table Tennis Association (DTTB) also offers director boxes for carrying out activities. An important measure for the club's development is the C coach training, which deals with sport-specific topics and promotes gender balance, especially through the inclusion of girls' groups. It is crucial to develop a concept to convince and actively involve everyone involved.
Overall, TTV Erdmannhausen is looking forward to an exciting time, with numerous opportunities for further development and commitment of its members.
