Magical musical Alice in BiBi-Town” delights Bietigheim-Bissingen!

A very special musical is being performed in Bietigheim-Bissingen: “Alice in BiBi-Town”. The piece will premiere on June 5, 2025 as part of the city’s anniversary. The performances take place in the historic wine press, which is located behind the town church. The Labyrinth art school and the music school in the castle realized this project in collaboration as part of the music theater project ON STAGE. They combine Lewis Carroll's most famous story with today's city, and promise an entertaining experience.

In the musical, the audience follows the protagonist Alice, who ends up in Bietigheim-Bissingen in search of new worlds. Alice is led through a magical door by the white rabbit into a fantastic dimension. Here she meets wayward residents and is tasked with thwarting a building contractor's plans that threaten to endanger her path back to Wonderland. She receives support from well-known characters such as the red and white queens and the mysterious Cheshire Cat. Those responsible promise a mixture of humor, excitement and numerous allusions that will immerse viewers in the local culture.

Shows and tickets

The musical offers three performances, with the first act taking place on Thursday, June 5, at 7 p.m. Two performances are already planned for Friday, June 6th: a school performance at 11 a.m., for which all seats are already sold out, and an evening performance at 7 p.m. There are still places available for the evening performance.

The entry prices are family-friendly: adults pay 7 euros, while children and young people only pay 5 euros. Tickets are online at www.reservix.de available. School classes must make a reservation for the free performance, which can be made either by email or by telephone.

Financial support and budget

The financial basis for the musical is estimated at 15,000 euros, which will be used for technology, stage design and costumes. This initiative is supported by two foundations, the Wiedeking Foundation and the Uwe Trefz Foundation. The organizers can realize their vision with funding of 10,000 euros. The city of Bietigheim-Bissingen also did its part to support the project.

“Alice in BiBi-Town” promises not only a spectacular stage event, but also the opportunity for the students to gain self-confidence and present themselves on stage. This makes this musical a highlight of the anniversary year and a valuable experience for everyone involved. The anticipation for the event is already palpable and the excitement among the young performers is growing.
