Asperger Kirbe 2025: A festival full of fun, enjoyment and thanksgiving!

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, Asperg will once again become a colorful festival mile when the traditional Kirbe is celebrated from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The area around the town hall offers a diverse program for the entire family, which includes both local traditions and numerous entertainment options. The event will begin with a Thanksgiving service in the Protestant St. Michael's Church at 10:00 a.m. and in the Catholic Church of St. Bonifatius at 10:15 a.m. This shows the community's deep-rooted connection to its traditions

The official opening of the church will take place by the Asperg Youth Town Band at 11:30 a.m. on the market square. The Kirbellauf “Around the town hall” will take place from 12:00 p.m., which is organized by the athletics department of TSV Asperg. Watch customers and medals are presented by club members and the mayor. In addition, Blende 81 Film- und Fotofreunde Asperg e.V. opens a photo exhibition in the foyer of the town hall at 11:00 a.m., which can be seen during opening hours until 6:00 p.m. and then until the end of October.

Variety of activities

The Kirbe offers a variety of activities for young and old. On the town hall square, visitors can expect a hobby art market in the Celtic Hall, where 25 hobby artists offer handmade goods. The DRK local association treats festival visitors to coffee and cake. The Asperger Weingärtner interest group in der Kelter will provide gastronomy with a selection of wines and regional delicacies from 11:00 a.m. During the event, Bahnhofstrasse becomes a Kirbemarkt with offers of leather goods, food, trendy items, spices, confectionery and household items.

Traffic information

The city administration asks all visitors to observe special traffic instructions. On the day of the event, Bahnhofstrasse and Bogenstrasse will be closed to traffic, as will other surrounding streets up to the confluence with Karlstrasse and Augustenstrasse between Bahnhofstrasse and Seestrasse. The Wilhelmsplatz stop will be relocated and buses will run via Eglosheimer Straße. There is an absolute ban on stopping in closed areas in order to avoid towing measures.

The Kirbe in Asperg promises a colorful festival for the entire family, with a diverse program and a festive atmosphere. Local shops are also open from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and invite you to shop on Sundays. This means that the Kirbe becomes not only a place for celebrating, but also for shopping and meeting people.
