At the end of May 2025, an important visit by the St. Laurentius Freudenberg Community Spirit Action took place at Caritas in Tauberkreis, at the invitation of Deacon Michael Baumann. As part of this meeting, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Caritas workshop in Lauda and the Caritas association office in Tauberbischofsheim. Around 150 people with intellectual disabilities work in the Caritas workshop. The positive working atmosphere and the joy of the employees particularly stood out during the tour. Workshop manager Paul Weber was praised for his successful leadership, which contributes to the pleasant working atmosphere. Afterwards we went to the Caritas Association office for lunch, where the chairman of the board, Michael Müller, explained the basic mission of the church - active charity.

Diverse support offers

Caritas has around 550 employees who work in various areas. Interactive conversations and feedback

After the visit to Tauberbischofsheim, the participants had the opportunity to exchange their impressions and experiences over ice cream, coffee and cake. The informal part of the day provided valuable space for discussions and personal feedback. It became clear that the commitment and work of Caritas in the Tauberkreis enriches not only the employees, but the entire community.
