Games, fun and ice cream joys: family celebration in the effzett daycare center on Hebberg!
The outdoor area of the “effzett” family center on Hebberg was transformed into a lively playground on June 26, 2025. The playmobile of the Child Protection Association was a guest and provided a varied program with numerous play stations that made children's hearts beat faster. In addition to the classic play equipment, the event surprised the little guests with an ice cream truck that offered sweet treats and ensured happy faces.
The parents took the opportunity to spend time together and exchange ideas. Sarah vom Brocke, the head of the family center, was enthusiastic about the positive atmosphere and the response to the event. “It’s nice to see how the families here connect and have fun together,” she said.
Spielmobile: A successful model since 1985
Spielmobile have been active in Frankfurt am Main since 1985 and are very popular. These mobile game offerings are a result of the partnership between the city of Frankfurt and the Child Protection Association. The deployment periods extend from the beginning of the Easter holidays to the end of October and offer a varied program in various parts of the city. Three to four locations are regularly served at the same time with different gaming options.
The mobile play range includes a wide range of tried and tested play equipment for different age groups. These include roller slides, air cushions, painting tables and games of skill. In addition, special highlights such as a watermobile and a pirate ship are also available. The latter offers space for around 25 children and is used by many young adventurers every year.
Games for all weathers
On hot days, the water toy, an old fire engine with water rides, is used to offer the children a refreshing way to cool off. Unfortunately, the water toy mobile was unable to offer its own tour this year due to a lack of sponsors. Nevertheless, the range of mobile games is continually being expanded and optimized to meet the needs of children.
The positive response to the events shows once again how important such offers are for the community. With today's campaign, the “effzett” family center not only brought joy to the children, but also gave parents the opportunity to spend time together in a relaxed atmosphere and make new contacts.
