Lots of music and fun: Mayfest Merazhofen starts on May 29th!
A very special festival will soon take place in Merazhofen, a small part of Leutkirch im Allgäu. The Merazhofen Music Association invites you to the traditional May Festival from May 29th to June 1st, 2025, which is celebrated every two years on Ascension Day. The event promises a diverse program that attracts both locals and visitors.
The festival begins on Thursday, May 29th, at 9:30 a.m. with a celebratory service, which will be accompanied by music from the Ziegelbach music band. The morning pint that follows is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the tradition of the May Festival. At 2 p.m., entertainment by the “4 Funny 5” at the Father's Day meeting will ensure a great atmosphere, while the beer garden is open when the weather is good.
A varied program
On the evening of the first day of the festival, visitors can expect a dirndl and lederhosen party with the band Hofenbrass. On Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. there will be a star march by the Leutkirchen music bands through Merazhofen to the festival tent. After the march, the bands from Hergensweiler and Laimnau will provide musical entertainment.
Saturday is dedicated to the 13th Merazhofer Schlager Competition, which starts at 8 p.m. and features fun acts and well-known faces. For many, the after-show party with the band Midnight Special is the highlight of the evening. The festival starts on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. with a morning pint, where homemade cakes and brass music from the Steinhilben music association are served. The festival ends with the MK Urlau from 2 p.m.
Community and support
The May Festival is largely organized by numerous volunteers who are involved in the planning and implementation of the festival. The Merazhofen Music Association would like to expressly thank all helpers, sponsors and supporters who contribute to the realization of this event. Entry to the events during the day is free, while in the evening there is a charge of 11 euros for entry.
