Trout Festival 2025: A festival for the whole family in Meckenbeuren!
On May 29, 2025, the traditional trout festival of the ASV Meckenbeuren-Kehlen e.V. took place on Ascension Day. This popular event attracted large numbers of visitors and was celebrated in ideal weather conditions. The first highlights were the musical opening by the duo *Taktbräu* and the warm welcome of the guests by the first board member Herbert Hertnagel. The undeniable joy of those present was evidence of the excellent organization of the festival, which took place in the clubhouse at Altmannstrasse 35.
The popular trout fillets with homemade potato salad were served from 11:30 a.m. This was prepared in the morning by club members and their families, which underlined the ASV's community work. By 12:00 p.m. all seats were occupied, and while the guests waited hungrily for their food, there was lively discussion and celebration. The gastronomic offer was a complete success and the trout fillets were already sold out by 1:30 p.m.
A successful festival with a wide range of offerings
The festival didn't just offer a lot of choice for fish lovers. A rich cake buffet ensured that even non-fish eaters got their money's worth. The guests liked to stay longer to enjoy the many delicacies on offer and the pleasant atmosphere of the festival. The perfectly organized barbecue logistics also led to shorter waiting times, which was well received by visitors.
Another highlight was the ASV's participation in the Baden-Württemberg State Fishing Association's Water Day under the motto “Clubs clean up”. On March 22, 2025, the ASV took part in the Schussen-Putzete and was pleased to submit a success report. This initiative was awarded a prize of 100 euros for youth work, which further motivated the club's commitment to the region and its preparations for another Schussen-Putzete in 2026.
The ASV would like to thank the guests and the Father's Day groups for their solidarity and the smooth running of the festival, which was only possible thanks to the active support of the members and their families. Those interested will have the next opportunity to visit the festival on May 14, 2026, when the next trout festival will take place again on Father's Day.
