For the weekend from October 24th to 26th, 2025, autumnal, humid weather is expected in the Nuremberg region. Despite the rainy seasons, there are exciting events that attract both jazz lovers and those interested in culture.
As nn.de reports, there are various concerts and cultural events on the program that can make the weekend a special experience.
On Friday evening, October 24th, at 8 p.m., the Markgrafensaal in Hohenstadt will open its doors for the concert by “Dr. Swing and the Jazz Gang”. Under the direction of bandleader Klaus Stuhlmüller, the audience can expect a varied program with songs “From Gershwin to Phil Collins”. Admission begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available in advance for 13 euros and cost 15 euros at the door.

The highlight of the weekend is on Saturday, October 25th. The concert with the Jim Mullen – Zoe Francis Quintet starts at 7 p.m. in the museum barn of the Shepherd Museum in Hersbruck. Jim Mullen, a legendary jazz guitarist, will be accompanied this evening by the talented jazz singer Zoe Francis. This event is part of a comprehensive jazz program designed to captivate spectators from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Admission is 26 euros, for members 23 euros. Also on Saturday there will be a concert with PEER and Tracy Holiday at the Hersbruck cultural station, while “organ music at lunchtime” will be played in the Hersbruck town church at 11 a.m. KMD Christoph Emanuel Seitz plays under the motto “Organ – the cheerful queen”. Admission is free and donations for church music are welcome.

Other events include a chamber music concert in the Evangelical Albanus Church in Reichenschwand on Sunday at 5 p.m. and a reading by Mareike Klee in the Johann Flierl Museum in Fürnried at 3 p.m. While the chamber music ensemble performs works by great composers such as J.S. Bach and Heinrich Schütz will perform, Klee will read from their novel “I'll tell you tomorrow”.
Another highlight will be the performance of the band Gankino Circus in the Reichswaldhalle in Feucht on Friday at 8 p.m. With their program “The Opposite of Rock’n’Roll”, the group promises musical variety and a lot of good mood. The tickets cost 25 euros, reduced prices 20 euros.
For those who love theater, the Bürgersaal Behringersdorf is offering a performance of the folk play “Silence, Bub!” on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. by Fitzgerald Kusz, entry prices are 15 euros and reduced at 10 euros.
