Support for volunteers
The multi-generation house in Geislingen not only acts as a contact point for proof of volunteer work, but also offers comprehensive support for existing and future volunteers. It helps find suitable engagement opportunities and coordinates collaboration between full-time and volunteer employees. Those interested have access to various offers, including training and professional advice, aimed at promoting exchange between volunteers, the city administration and the local council. These initiatives contribute to strengthening the culture of recognition for civic engagement and participation.
Appreciating volunteers is essential to creating a sustainable culture of engagement. It is important that recognition is individual and ongoing to maintain volunteer motivation. Measures that can help include personal thank you letters, birthday cards, and public events to recognize volunteers. Such cultures of recognition help to promote a strong sense of community and a high level of identification among volunteers with their work.
In addition, proof of activity and certificates are of great importance for many volunteers. These documents, such as trainer licenses or the youth leader card (Juleica), not only serve as a personal representation of the work done, but are also an important aspect for your further professional career.
With its initiative and the offer through the multi-generational house, Geislingen has taken an important step to promote volunteer work and to appropriately recognize the achievements of volunteers. Volunteering not only contributes to improving social cohesion, but also enriches the individual development of the people involved.
