Link Michel in the supermarket: New video series and price for cabaret!

Link Michel, also known as Michael Klink, is a successful cabaret artist and comedian from Neuffen who has made a name for himself through his outstanding humor. He was recently awarded the Sebastian Blau Prize for Swabian Dialect, a prize that recognizes not only artistic achievement but also the connection to regional culture. Michel received prize money of 2,500 euros for his award. The jury praised him as an outstanding cabaret artist, which underlined his efforts to capture the “bizarreities of everyday life”. These aspects were particularly recognized at the award ceremony, which was attended by Josef Eberle, honorary citizen of Rottenburg. It was emphasized that Eberle would have really enjoyed the dialect arts if he had been able to take part that evening.

His creative work is now taking a new turn: Michel will start a video series called “Michel wants to know”. These videos appear every Wednesday at 12 p.m. on the ntz.de website and aim to shed light on different facets of life. On October 1st, Michel was already in the supermarket to interview the store manager, which is in keeping with his tradition of humorously portraying everyday aspects and communicating with his audience.

Results of the Sebastian Blau Prize

The Sebastian Blau Prize was awarded in a ceremonial setting that was also attended by other talented comedians. Jakob Friedrich from Besigheim took second place and was pleased with 2,000 euros; his performance addressed the world of work in the metal industry. Another winner, Marcus Neuweiler from Schöntal, received 2,500 euros for his performance as Alois Gscheidle as well as a comedy prize and the Internet prize.

Markus Zipperle from Waschenbeuren appeared together with Werner Schwarz as “Pfefferle & Zipperle” and was awarded 1,000 euros for their humorous appearance. Elisabeth Kabatek and Ilona Nowak also received 1,000 euros for their music cabaret, while Timo Dotzauer and Ingo Dollenmaier from the Mund.art board also received a prize. The jury highlighted the tradition of comedians and their connection to audiences, which further underlines the importance of these awards.

Michael Klink's creativity and wit, as well as the recognition he received through the Sebastian Blau Prize, demonstrate the talented spectrum of the region's cabaret scene. With his new video projects he is setting further accents in his artistic career. While viewers eagerly await the new content, it becomes clear that the Swabian dialect and its ambassadors continue to be an indispensable part of the cultural scene.
