Outlook for the play-offs

After his impressive performances in the current season, Owen will now play for his hometown team Newport R.F.C which will play against Llandovery in the Premiership next Saturday. Owen returns after multiple injuries and just five appearances for the Dragons in the 2022/23 season. Among other things, he had a fractured ankle and a serious knee injury, which ultimately held him back.

The upcoming game is crucial for Newport, who have already qualified for the play-offs and are expected to finish fourth in the table. Coach Ty Morris highlights the importance of the game to gain momentum for the playoffs. Owen will play in a different line-up and have the opportunity to prove his skills again.
