Detours and full closures: construction projects burden Horb until September!

On June 19, 2025, there will be significant traffic restrictions in several cities in Baden-Württemberg. The Road Traffic Center today published current reports on construction sites and completely closed roads that motorists and truck drivers should take into account when planning their routes.

In Horb am Neckar, road users will be affected by full closures until September 30, 2025. These concern the L356 between Altheim (K 4718) and Hochdorf over a length of 2.9 kilometers. The full closure began on June 2, 2025 at 5:00 a.m. and will last until September 30, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Diversions have been set up and lead via Rottweiler Straße, Eutinger Straße and Böblinger Straße. These diversions will result in an additional travel time of 7 to 8 minutes, depending on the route. Further closures exist on the K4718/L356 between Untertalheim and Krotental, also with similar diversion routes. The information is based on current data from the [News.de].

Construction site in Aichelberg

In addition to the situation in Horb, there will also be a full closure in Aichelberg from today, which will last until June 22, 2025. The reason for this measure is the renewal of the roadway on the L1214, which is intended to contribute to improving traffic safety. The closure starts at 4:00 a.m. today and ends at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The area particularly affected is the roundabout on Weilheimer Straße as well as a 410 meter long stretch from Weilheim an der Teck to Aichelberg and Holzmader Straße in the direction of Holzmaden.

Two routes are planned for the diversions. The first leads from Zeller Straße via Schluchtweg, Bahnhofstraße, Kirchstraße to Holzmadener Straße, which entails an additional travel time of 17 minutes (approx. 12.7 km). The second option uses Weilheimer Straße, Holzmader Straße, Aichelberger Straße, Hirtenstraße, Lettenstraße, Turmbergstraße to Karlstraße and Bahnhofstraße, which requires a shorter additional travel time of 9 minutes (approx. 4.1 km). This information comes from My Stuttgart.

Drivers in the region are advised to find out about the current traffic situation before setting off, as there are many other construction sites in Baden-Württemberg that can affect traffic. The renovation work in Aichelberg is part of a comprehensive infrastructure project that is intended to improve traffic safety and quality of life in the region.
