The Esslingen Burgstäffeleslauf, an event with history, is returning. After a break of 25 years, the race made a comeback in 2024, attracting 72 participants of all ages who took on the challenge of the 325 steep steps. These extend from the New Town Hall to the Inner Burgplatz, with the runner having to climb up to 50 meters in altitude over a distance of 300 meters. The fastest times were 1:25 minutes for men and 1:49 minutes for women, although running times between two and four minutes are also accepted.
