In quantities, the infrastructure for cyclists has been significantly improved. New bicycle parking systems have been set up at several locations to promote the use of climate -friendly transport. A total of 126 leaning bars were installed, which offer space for 252 bicycles. The new facilities are located at the youth center, in the outdoor pool, in the indoor pool as well as at the old church in Rulfingen and the Haus der Vereine Rulfingen. The town houses in Beuren, Ennetach and Rosna also benefit from the extensions that reach a total cost amount of around 68,000 euros
The measure is sponsored generously with around 55,000 euros, financed as part of the State Community Finance Financing Act (LGVFG). This law comes from the Baden-Württemberg state budget and was decided by the state parliament. This not only strengthens the wheel infrastructure in quantities, but also supports the goal of increasing cycling in Baden-Württemberg as a whole.

The new funding measure in quantities is part of a larger program of the state government. According to the information from the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg, the main goal is to promote the streets to relieve the streets. In particular, attention is paid to the combination of bicycle by bus and train, which is crucial for longer distances.
A central concern is also to create theft -proof and weather -protected bicycle parking facilities at stops. The construction and planning of bicycle parking systems, collecting garages and bicycle parking houses as well as the construction of bicycle boxes at train stations and public transport stops are therefore funded. The roofing for existing storage systems are also on the funding list.
Financial details and application process
interested municipalities and counties have the opportunity to make funding applications. The funding can cover up to 75 % of the grant-capable construction and real estate acquisition costs. There is also a flat rate of 10 % of the investments that were temporarily increased to 15 %. A combination with federal funds can even raise funding to up to 90 %.
The application process is uncomplicated. The measures must be registered for inclusion in the funding program and the application for funding can be submitted within one year after successful admission. The responsible regional council offers support and there is also the possibility to bundle several smaller projects as long as they are below the minor limit. The registration for the programs is always possible for the current year.
