“Summer at the Lake” starts in Böblingen with a series of events that will appeal to locals and guests alike. The opening ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. The venue is the old TÜV hall, where the Big Band of the Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium (AEG) will perform together with the AEG Mini Band under the direction of Janni Stephan. Also Mayor Dr. Stefan Belz has announced his presence and will open the event. The celebrations continue on Friday, June 27th. From 7.30 p.m., the band Wildflower with frontwoman Biggi Binder will entertain the audience with a concert from a wide repertoire. Entry to this highlight is 20 euros. On Saturday, June 28th, there will be a reading stage at 7:30 p.m. that will present a “best of” literary-cabaret material. The ticket price for this is 15 euros. A colorful mix of events
In addition to the opening ceremonies, “Summer at the Lake” also offers numerous other interesting events. A notable part of the program is the concert evening “Tango meets Gypsy: La Vie Bohème”, performed by the ORCHESTRA MONDO group. These musicians take the audience into a nostalgic world with pieces inspired by the bohemian way of life in Paris. The ensemble consists of four artists: Anja Baldauf (accordion, melodion), Raffael Müller (guitar), Dennis Wendel (double bass) and Stefan Baldauf (percussion).
The concert, which combines emotional performances with improvisations and sound images, addresses the longing and passion of bohemians. The entry price is 18 euros, concessions 9 euros, and entry begins at 7 p.m. before the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. The event also takes place in the old TÜV hall.
