Night crash near Rutesheim: L1180 closed for two hours!

On the night of May 30, 2025, there was a traffic accident on State Road 1180 (L1180) between Rutesheim-Perouse and the Seewiesen industrial area, which had significant consequences. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. when the 57-year-old driver of a Mercedes Sprinter tried to turn from a dirt road onto the L 1180, but failed to notice the 57-year-old Audi driver coming from the left. This led to a collision between the two vehicles.

Both vehicles were so badly damaged in the collision that they were no longer drivable and had to be towed away. The total damage amounts to around 17,000 euros. As a result, the L1180 was completely closed for around two hours, causing significant traffic delays. The road was reopened around 3:45 a.m. after the accident site had been extensively cleaned [esslinger-zeitung.de].

Injured people and medical care

The Audi driver and her 20-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries in the accident. The driver was taken to hospital for further treatment, while her passenger received medical care on site. According to presseportal.de, both women were shocked after the incident, but their injuries were not serious.
