Theater sensation in Saulorn: sold out in just 24 hours!

After a year-long break, the theater group in Saulorn celebrated a sensational success with their performance of the new play “The Dream Couples of Saulorn” by Achim Pöschel, published by Wilhelm Köhler Verlag, Munich. All seven scheduled performances were sold out within just 24 hours. Due to high demand, an additional performance is offered, which further increases the enthusiasm of theatergoers.

The play marks a turning point in Saulorn's previous theatrical tradition, as it is a modern comedy that thematically features robot husbands, order-hungry wives, and a priest named Weinfurtner, who is active on Instagram. The humor and fresh perspective of the piece are well received by the audience. From the very first appearance, the audience is delighted with the detailed stage design and the talented actors.

An unforgettable start to the season

The season opener took place in the theater beer garden in bright sunshine. Free beer and an excellent atmosphere created a festive atmosphere that was passed on to the audience. The first visitors lined up more than two hours before the performance began to secure the best seats. The actors' commitment and hard work were rewarded with standing ovations, cheers and lots of laughter.

Theater director Hans Niedermeier impressively stated that the ensemble is not only reliable - but also creative. He praised the work of Steffi Stadler (mask), Piser Buam (lighting and sound technology), Anita Stockinger (advance ticket sales), Marina Haydn (welcome), Elke Poxleitner (stage design and decoration) and all the players. Their collective commitment made the success of the premiere possible.

Looking into the future

The successful premiere provides a promising outlook for the next theater season in 2025. The enthusiasm among the audience and the positive response to the innovative piece indicate that the Saulorn theater group will continue to play an important role in the cultural life of the region.

Ahim Pöschel, the author of the piece, has also worked, among other things, with dialect theater in his career. Born and raised in southwest Germany, on the edge of the Black Forest, he became interested in creative writing at an early age. His career shows a close connection to his homeland and nature, which is also reflected in his plays. Pöschel has now written and directed several full-length comedies, and he is now bringing his experience to Saulorn. Thomas Haug talks about his career and passion for theater.
