Tire piercer in Bondorf: Ten cars affected again – police are looking for witnesses!
Last weekend, several vehicles were vandalized again in Bondorf, in the Böblingen district. As Stuttgarter Nachrichten reports, tires on at least ten parked cars on Boschstrasse were destroyed. The acts occurred between Saturday lunchtime and Sunday morning, with the exact period ranging from 1:00 p.m. on June 21st to 8:30 a.m. on June 22nd, the press portal adds.
Various vehicle brands were affected, including three VW, two Opel, two Ford, one Chrysler, one Audi and one Peugeot. The exact amount of property damage caused is currently unknown, but there have been increasing reports of similar incidents in the region since the previous week. At that time, at least seven cars, including two VWs and an Audi, had already been the target of destruction.
Additional property damage
In addition to the targeted tire stabbings, there was another incident in which a window pane of a bank on Hindenburgstrasse was damaged on Saturday evening. An unknown perpetrator, according to witnesses, dressed in dark blue jeans, a green jacket and a green cap, threw a stone at the window. On his way he also left damage to the windows of a parked Dacia and a Ford.
Police are continuing to investigate and have not ruled out a connection between the various incidents. Officials are asking the public for help. Witnesses are asked to call 07032/954910 or email herrenberg.prev@polizei.bwl.de. Clues could be crucial in finding the perpetrator or perpetrators and preventing further damage.
The situation not only raises questions about security measures, but also causes considerable unease among local residents. The accumulation of such incidents within a short period of time makes it clear that there is an urgent need for action in the region to increase security and strengthen citizens' trust in public order.
